Where to Find Eva in Hollow Knight Silksong

Eva is the key to unlocking Sylphsong, but reaching her isn’t straightforward. She resides deep within Weavenest Atla, tucked away in the lower east section of the region.

  • Start from the lowest bench in Weavenest Atla.
  • Head east and look for hidden breakable walls.
  • Descend through the chambers until you reach her lair.

Important: You cannot access this path early in the game. You first need to progress through Moss Grotto in Act 1, where you’ll encounter a sealed door. To open it, you must:

  1. Defeat Bellhart.

  2. Kill Widow.

  3. Unlock the Needolin ability.

Afterward, return to Moss Grotto and use Needolin to reveal the passage to Weavenest Atla. Once inside, pull the two ceiling levers in the large chamber to activate the map, then ride the elevator down. Break through the right-hand walls to uncover Eva’s hidden chamber.

Conditions to Unlock the Sylphsong Ability

Meeting Eva isn’t enough—she will only share Sylphsong after you prove yourself. This requires two major tasks:

1. Collect All Crests in Silksong

There are seven crests scattered across Pharloom, each tied to a quest, challenge, or chapel:

  • Hunter Crest – Found early in the campaign.
  • Wanderer Crest – Located in Wormways (requires a Simple Key from Bone Bottom vendor).
  • Reaper Crest – Hidden in Greymoor’s Chapel of the Reaper after a gauntlet challenge.
  • Beast Crest – Dropped after defeating Skarrgard in The Marrow, followed by a fight with the Savage Beastfly.
  • Witch Crest – Reward from completing Infestation Operation Wish in Greyroot.
  • Shaman Crest – Found in Act 3 at the Ruined Chapel, accessible via the Silk Soar skill.
  • Architect Crest – Located in the Underworks’ Cauldron after clearing the Chapel of the Architect.

These crests must later be upgraded to their full potential.

2. Collect 20 Memory Lockets

In addition to crests, Eva requires you to gather 20 Memory Lockets. These items are used to upgrade your crests, unlocking more slots and boosting their effectiveness. Once upgraded, Hornet can equip colored abilities for deeper build customization.

Binding Eva and Receiving Sylphsong

After you’ve completed both requirements (all crests + 20 memory lockets), return to Eva. At this point, you’ll be able to bind her, a ritual that finally rewards you with the Sylphsong ability.

What the Sylphsong Ability Does in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Sylphsong ability dramatically improves Hornet’s sustain. Once unlocked:

  • Resting at a bench automatically refills Hornet’s Silk bar.
  • This removes the need to farm enemies for Silk after tough battles.
  • It ensures Hornet is always fully stocked before bosses or gauntlet runs.

In essence, Sylphsong is a quality-of-life ability that reduces downtime and keeps Hornet battle-ready at all times.

Unlocking Sylphsong in Hollow Knight Silksong takes time and effort—it’s a reward meant only for players who explore thoroughly and overcome some of the game’s hardest trials. But once acquired, it makes Hornet’s journey far smoother, ensuring every encounter starts with a full Silk reserve.

If you’re aiming for 100% completion, mastering this questline and unlocking Sylphsong is a must.
