The Minecraft Copper Age update
is almost here, and players are excited to see how Mojang is finally making
copper a core part of the game. Scheduled as the third major game drop of
2025, version 1.21.110 for Bedrock Edition adds long-awaited
mechanics, items, and mobs that will refresh survival gameplay and inspire new
builds.
While we’re still waiting on the official release date, here are the five best features in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.110 you’ll want to try as soon as the update drops.

1)
Copper Golems
One of the most anticipated
additions, the Copper Golem finally makes its way into Minecraft. Not
only does it bring more life to the game, but it also serves a functional
purpose by helping players move items between copper chests and wooden or
trapped chests.
This mob is special for another reason: it was originally part of the 2021 Mob Vote, where it lost to the Allay. Its revival raises hopes that Mojang might bring back more “lost mobs” like the crab, tuff golem, or even penguins in future updates.
2)
Copper Lanterns and Torches
Lighting takes a big step forward in
the Copper Age update. Copper lanterns and torches emit a green
glow that adds atmosphere to builds and gives players more creative lighting
options.
Better yet, copper lanterns oxidize over time, shifting in color just like copper blocks. If you want to preserve their bright orange look, you can wax them to stop the oxidation process.
3)
Shelf
The new Shelf block is a
small but game-changing feature. It lets players:
- Store up to three stacks of items
- Instantly swap items with the one in their main hand
- Connect to redstone for added automation
Builders who prioritize aesthetics can also use shelves as decorative blocks, bringing something close to a true vertical block to Minecraft. This could even hint at more vertical building blocks in future updates.
4)
Copper Golem Statues
When a copper golem fully oxidizes,
it transforms into a statue. Players can customize its pose and place it
as a decorative piece in their builds.
Even better, oxidized statues aren’t permanent—you can restore them back into working golems with an axe, giving builders a flexible way to add both function and flair.
5)
Copper Tools and Weapons
For years, players have asked for
copper to serve a more practical role. With the Copper Age update, that
finally happens.
You’ll be able to craft:
- Copper tools and weapons (stronger than stone, but weaker than iron)
- Copper armor
- Copper horse armor
This addition transforms copper into a truly functional resource instead of just a decorative one.
The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.110
Copper Age update is shaping up to be one of the most exciting patches of
the year. With copper golems, shelves, new lighting, statues, and tools,
copper is finally stepping into the spotlight.
The official release date hasn’t been announced yet, but with Minecraft Live 2025 scheduled for September 27, Mojang will likely reveal it there. Until then, players can look forward to experimenting with these new features once the update rolls out.
