How to Complete The Beast Within Mission in Dying Light The Beast

1. Reach the Explosion Site

The mission begins at the Town Hall attic. Exit through the window and hop across the rooftops. Here, a cutscene introduces Kyle to the Volatiles — some of the most dangerous infected in the game.

Use Survivor Sense to spot Volatiles (highlighted in red) and stick to the rooftops to avoid detection. Once you reach a bridge with a burning car and an armored truck, clear out the infected. Search the back of the truck to progress.

2. Investigate the Church

Your next destination is the old town Church. When you arrive, all the main entrances are sealed. Head down a staircase to the basement entrance.

Inside, the area is full of sleeping zombies. Move slowly while crouched, and avoid using your flashlight unless absolutely necessary.

A cutscene plays once inside: Kyle discovers multiple bodies, plus a man hanging upside down. Suddenly, the Beast appears, kills the man, and flees, setting up the chase.

3. Climb the Church Tower

Move toward the front of the Church, then head left and climb. Work your way up the platforms until you reach the Church Organ.

·         Drop down the foldable ladder.

·         Jump onto the chandelier.

·         Swing across the rope to reach the other side.

·         Climb the wooden platforms and grab the ledges on the walls.

This climb takes you to the Church tower’s top. Leap out through the window, and the mission updates to pursuing the Beast.

4. Explore the Train Tunnels

Chase the Beast into the train tunnels. The path is filled with debris, human corpses, and infected remains. Eventually, a cutscene shows the Beast escaping again, only for a new danger to emerge: Volatiles flooding into the tunnels.

This triggers a high-speed chase sequence:

·         Sprint through the tunnels, vaulting and parkouring as needed.

·         Watch for Volatiles trying to block or tackle you.

·         If you struggle with sprint speed, enable Auto-Sprint in the game settings.

At the tunnel’s exit, daylight forces the Volatiles to retreat, and Kyle contacts Olivia via radio. This concludes The Beast Within mission.
