The nominations for 54th annual CMA awards 2020 are revealed on 1st September, Tuesday. Mirande Lambert creates a record as most nominated female act in the history of CMA awards. She was nominated 55 times in CMA history which breaks the previous record of 51 nomimations in the name of Reba McEntire.

Mirande Lambert is a leading nominated on CMA awards 2020 with 7 nominations. The song "Bluebird" which was sing by Mirande Lambert sets new records. "Bluebird" nominated in 3 categories that are Single of the year, Song of the year, Music video of the year. Meanwhile, she also nominated in Album of the year, Music event of the year, Entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year. This is the first for Mirande Lambert to nominated as Entertainer of the year in five years.

Luke Combs is in second most nominated followed by Mirande lambert. Luke Combs has 6 nominations which includes Album of the year, Entertainer of the year, Single of the year, two nominations in Song of the year and finally Male vocalist of the year.
