Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Only Test - Scorecards and Highlights

Afghanistan created history in the Test Cricket by won their maiden overseas test match against Bangladesh on 9th September 2019 in the Test Championship 2019. Afghanistan won by 224 runs on the last session of final day. The Bangladesh player Soumya Sarkar tried to defend the Afghanistan blowers, but Afghanistan Captain Rashid Khan shows all round performance by taking 11 wickets and 75 runs in the match and drives the team towards victory and also he took the last wicket before 20 balls remaining in the final day of the game as Soumya Sarkar who tried to make match as draw.

At the starting Afghanistan won the toss opt to bat first. In the Afghanistan first innings Rahmat Shah (102) with his century and Asghar Afghan (92) fifty laid the foundation with their 120-run stand and Rashid gave the finishing touch with a fluent fifty with good support from the keeper Afsar Zazai (41) to finish their innings at 342. In Bangladesh bowling the Taijul Islam took 4 wickets, Shakib Al Hasan and Nayeem Hasan shares two wickets each and Mehidy Hasan and Mahmudullah took one wicket each.

In Bangladesh first innings the Afghanistan bowlers take advantages from the staring of the innings by removing the opener. The Banlagesd batsmen Liton Das (33), Mominul Haque (52), and Mosaddek Hossain (48) only defend Afghanistan bowlers. In Afghanistan bowling the captain Rashid Khan took five wickets, Mohammad Nabi took three wickets and Yamin Ahmadzai and Qais Ahmad shares each wicket and restricted the Bangladesh first innings for only 205 runs and get 137 runs lead in their first innings.

In the second innings of the Afghanistan the Bangladesh blowers attacked from the starting. With the opener Ibrahim Zadran (87), middle order batsmen Asghar Afghan (50) and wicket keeper Afsar Zazai (48) the Afghanistan made a good total 260 runs and set 397 runs as target to Bangladesh. The Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets and Mehidy Hasan, Nayeem Hasan and Taijul Islam share two wickets each.

The Bangladesh batsmen doesn't stand before Afghanistan bowling, only the opener Shadman Islam (41) and captain Shakib Al Hasan (44) defend the Afghanistan bowling for sometime. At the ending Soumya Sarkar tried to make the test match as draw but the Afghanistan Captain Rashid Khan took his wicket before 20 balls of the final day of the match. Rashid Khan performed brilliant performance by taking six wickets and collapsed the Bangladesh innings for only 173 runs. Rashid Khan won player of the match award.
