Alia Bhatt Says Ranbir Kapoor Is a Hands-On Dad Who Turns Into a Child With Raha

Alia Bhatt recently spoke about her life as a mother and revealed that Ranbir Kapoor is a very present and hands-on father to their daughter Raha.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s love story started years ago on a film set, and in 2022, it finally came full circle when the two tied the knot at their Mumbai home. Later that same year, the couple welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor — a moment that completely changed their lives.

In a recent chat with Esquire India, Alia opened up about motherhood, family life, and Ranbir’s role as a father. The actress revealed that becoming a parent was something she had always looked forward to. Before Raha was born, Alia said she had long conversations with Ranbir about having a baby and felt confident that he would be a present, hands-on parent.

According to Alia, Ranbir’s sensitive side really comes through when it comes to their daughter. “He’s sensible that way. He’s far more sensitive than he lets on,” she shared, adding that he is completely obsessed with Raha.

Ranbir Kapoor turns into a child around Raha

Alia revealed that no matter how busy Ranbir’s schedule is, his priority is always their daughter. On days when he’s shooting, he rushes straight home just to see her. She also mentioned that Ranbir, who is otherwise quite shy, becomes incredibly expressive with Raha.

“His eyes, his face — everything lights up. He almost becomes a child himself,” Alia said, describing how different he is around their little one.

Even when Ranbir has to stay away from home, he keeps a close watch through the baby camera. The moment Raha wakes up, he’s already on his way to see her. And when she returns home, Ranbir is often waiting in the lobby, eager to pick her up. “His love is very obvious. He can’t help himself,” Alia shared.

Alia on motherhood, boundaries, and social media

In the same interview, Alia also spoke about how motherhood has changed the way she looks at social media. She admitted that there are days when she feels like quitting altogether. However, keeping in mind her massive fan base and loyal followers, she chooses to stay mindful about what she shares instead of taking that step.
