
Actor Alia Bhatt has spoken honestly about the pressure of social media, admitting that there are days when she feels like deleting it altogether after becoming a mother.. In a recent interaction with Esquire India, the actor revealed that there are days when she feels like completely deleting her social media accounts.
“I Just Want to Be an Actor Who Acts”
Talking about the pressure of constantly being present online, Alia admitted that she sometimes feels like stepping away from social media altogether.
“There are days when I wake up and think, okay, I just want to delete my social media and be an actor who acts. I don’t want to keep up with this conversation again and again,” she said.
However, Alia also acknowledged that leaving social media would mean distancing herself from people who have supported her throughout her journey.
“I know that would really cut off contact with so many people who’ve supported me from the beginning, and I don’t want to do that,” she added.
Motherhood Has Changed Everything for Alia
Alia went on to speak about how motherhood has made her more protective of her personal life. She shared that her private moments now feel too personal to put out in the public domain.
“When it comes to really putting out your personal life… now my personal life is so personal that I find it a little bit difficult,” she said.
The actor added that her phone gallery is filled with pictures of her daughter Raha, and she actually has to make an effort to click photos of herself. Calling motherhood “a massive change,” Alia explained that it completely transforms both the body and the mindset.

On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Alpha, a high-octane action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail. In the film, she plays a commanding officer in an elite all-women combat unit alongside Sharvari Wagh. The movie also stars Bobby Deol and is set within the YRF Spy Universe.
Originally planned for a Christmas 2025 release, the film was first postponed to April 17, 2026, and later delayed again. It is now expected to release sometime later in 2026, though the exact date is yet to be announced.
Alia will also appear alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period romantic drama Love & War.
