A new Fortnite leak has players buzzing — and this time, it’s about Disney. According to a recent report, Disney sidekicks might soon join Fortnite as part of Epic Games’ upcoming “sidekicks” feature.
If you’ve been playing Fortnite since the early days, you probably remember pets — the little companions that first appeared in Chapter 1 Season 6. Bonesy, the lovable dog, was the first pet ever added and quickly became a fan favorite. Players could equip him as a back bling from the Battle Pass and even interact with him in matches. Over time, Epic added a few more pets, but eventually, they disappeared completely.
Now, it looks like that fun feature is finally making a comeback — with a twist.

Fortnite’s Sidekicks Are on the Way
On October 30, Fortnite officially announced the arrival of sidekicks (previously called companions) in an upcoming mini-season. These sidekicks are expected to work similarly to the old pet system, giving players adorable or iconic characters that can tag along during gameplay.
But the biggest news came from NotPalo, a well-known Fortnite dataminer, who revealed that Disney sidekicks are part of the plan.
Why This Leak Is a Big Deal
If true, this could open the door for Disney to bring in characters that don’t quite fit the usual Fortnite vibe — you know, the whole “battle with weapons” thing.
Take Winnie the Pooh, for example. He’s one of Disney’s most wholesome and family-friendly characters. The idea of Pooh holding a shotgun in Fortnite just feels… wrong. But as a sidekick? That makes perfect sense. He could simply run beside the player, cheering them on while staying true to his sweet personality.
A New Way to Bring Disney to Fortnite
Disney owns a massive lineup of characters and franchises, ranging from kid-friendly to mature. With sidekicks, Fortnite could introduce even more iconic faces from Disney’s world — without needing to turn them into gun-toting skins.
This means fans could collect and show off their favorite Disney characters, even if they’re not full playable skins. Once the feature officially rolls out, Epic and Disney are expected to reveal which sidekicks will arrive first — and that could be just the start of something huge for crossovers in Fortnite.
