The Rock Reconciles with Logan Paul After Years of Fallout Over Japan Controversy

WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally squashed his long-standing beef with YouTube star and current WWE United States Champion Logan Paul. The two had not been on speaking terms since the infamous Japan forest controversy in 2017, but things now appear to be moving in a positive direction.

Back in 2017, Logan Paul sparked global outrage when he uploaded footage of a deceased person’s body in Japan’s Aokigahara forest. The incident drew widespread criticism, forcing him to issue a public apology.

The Rock, who had previously collaborated with Logan on several projects, was deeply disturbed by the video. Soon after, he cut all ties with Paul, removing any association with him.

The Rock Sends Heartfelt Message to Logan Paul

Years later, it seems the WWE icon has chosen to bury the hatchet. The Rock recently sent Logan Paul a video message, praising him and expressing his excitement about Paul’s ongoing journey:

“Yo, my brother, I know I look super cool right now… I told Benny how much I just loved you, and you guys are going to have a great talk.”

The heartfelt words signaled that The Rock has forgiven Logan Paul and is now open to reconnecting with him.

What Really Happened Between The Rock and Logan Paul?

In a past interview with True Geordie, Logan Paul explained the fallout with The Rock following the Japan controversy:

“I was extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who also repped Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and she’s like, ‘Hey, Dwayne’s asked that you remove every picture and video you’ve done with him… for now, he basically wants nothing to do with you.’”

At the time, Paul admitted he was devastated but understood The Rock’s stance.

Could We See The Rock and Logan Paul Together in WWE?

Logan Paul has since reinvented himself — both as a social media mogul and as a WWE superstar. He currently holds the United States Championship and is considered one of WWE’s biggest crossover stars.

Now that The Rock has extended an olive branch, WWE fans can’t help but speculate about the possibility of the two sharing a segment together in the future. A Rock–Logan Paul interaction inside the WWE ring would surely generate massive buzz.
