Why Crews Matter in The Takeover

  • Cooperative gameplay – Complete challenges together to claim turf.
  • Exclusive rewards – Some prizes are tied only to Crew-based achievements.
  • Bigger impact – Crews compete against each other for dominance in Tagtown.

While solo play is possible, you’ll miss out on plenty of Crew-only rewards, so it’s highly recommended to team up before heading into neighborhoods.

How to Manage a Crew in The Takeover

Head over to the Crew Station in Tagtown, marked by the white “Recruit Here” beacon. From here, you’ll see two options:

  • Create – Start your own Crew and become the leader.
  • Join – Apply to an existing Crew or accept an invite.

Both options get you into a team, but the responsibilities differ depending on your choice.

Creating a Crew in The Takeover

If you want to take the lead, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Crew Station and select Create.

  2. Enter a Crew name (up to 30 characters).

  3. Add a description that represents your team.

  4. Design your Crew icon with graffiti-style customization options:

    • 27 background presets

    • 36 frame presets

    • 31 icon presets
This gives you hundreds of possible combinations to make your Crew unique.

  5. Hit Confirm to finalize your Crew.

Once created, you can send invites to other players. A maximum of 100 members can join a Crew at one time.

Joining a Crew in The Takeover

If you’d rather team up with others instead of starting from scratch:

  1. Head to the Crew Station and select Join.

  2. Browse through the list of available Crews.

  3. Send a Join request to the one you want.

  4. Wait for approval—once accepted, you’re officially in.

Alternatively, if a Crew Leader invites you directly, simply accept to become a member.

Leaving a Crew

Not vibing with your current team? You can leave anytime:

  • Open the Crews menu (left side of your screen).
  • Hover over your name and select Leave.
  • After leaving, you can either go solo, create your own Crew, or join another.

Crews add depth and community to Roblox The Takeover, making the event more rewarding and exciting. Whether you create your own team with a unique identity or join forces with an existing one, working together is the best way to claim turf, earn Crew rewards, and dominate Tagtown.
