The much-anticipated Jolly LLB 3 has finally hit theatres, bringing Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi together as rival lawyers in a courtroom showdown. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the third installment of the popular legal-comedy franchise also sees the return of Saurabh Shukla as the iconic Judge Tripathi.

According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, Jolly LLB 3 box office collection on Day 1 stands at around ₹12.5 crore net. While this is a solid opening for a courtroom comedy, it falls slightly short of Jolly LLB 2’s ₹13.2 crore debut.

The film recorded an overall 22.4% Hindi occupancy across India on opening day.

  • Morning shows: 10.28%
  • Afternoon shows: 17.46%

Comparing Jolly LLB 3 with Other Bollywood Releases

In terms of Akshay Kumar’s 2025 films, Jolly LLB 3 sits in the middle range:

  • Housefull 5 – ₹24 crore opening
  • Sky Force – ₹12.25 crore opening
  • Kesari: Chapter 2 – ₹7.75 crore opening

The film also outperformed Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par (₹10.7 crore opening) but lags behind other recent hits:

  • Chhaava (Vicky Kaushal) – ₹31 crore

Competition at the Box Office

This week, Jolly LLB 3 faces limited direct competition. Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi opened to just ₹25 lakh, leaving the courtroom drama with a relatively clear field. However, the Telugu fantasy-action blockbuster Mirai continues to dominate in its second week, with total collections reaching ₹67.6 crore.

Outlook for Jolly LLB 3

While its opening day performance is moderate, Jolly LLB 3 benefits from the franchise’s strong reputation and positive word-of-mouth. If the trend holds, the film could see improved footfalls over the weekend.

With Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi delivering a courtroom face-off backed by Saurabh Shukla’s signature Judge Tripathi, the film has all the ingredients to attract audiences in the coming days.
