The Destiny 2 weekly reset on September
23 won’t introduce any flashy seasonal events or limited-time
activities. However, Guardians still have plenty to look forward to. Bungie is
rolling out significant changes to loot
rewards in Raids and Dungeons, including endless farming opportunities
for Legacy Exotics. On top of that, The
Desert Perpetual Raid just received a major loot upgrade, making it
more rewarding than ever.
Here’s a full breakdown of what to expect in Destiny 2 from September 23 to 30.
What’s Coming with the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset
on September 23
·
The Desert
Perpetual Raid loot buff
·
Endless
Exotic farming in Legacy Raids and Dungeons
·
Fresh
weekly challenges
·
The Desert
Perpetual Raid reset
·
Shattered
Ruins Ascendant Challenge (Dreaming City)
· New Mythic mission in Kepler
1) The Desert Perpetual Loot Upgrade
Starting with the September 23 reset, all loot from The Desert Perpetual Raid will drop at a
minimum of Tier 3 quality.
Higher-tier rewards will also have a greater chance of dropping when players
complete Raid Feats.
This means even the normal difficulty can now drop powerful Tier 3 weapons and armor—perfect for both new players chasing god rolls and veterans farming upgrades.
2) Endless Exotic Farming in Legacy Raids and
Dungeons
For the first time, all Legacy Raids and Dungeons in Destiny 2 will be farmable without limits for their Exotic
weapons.
Anything outside of Sundered Doctrine and The Desert Perpetual can now be grinded infinitely. This is a huge win for Guardians still chasing older Exotic drops, as it removes the frustration of weekly lockouts.
3) Other Weekly Reset Activities
While no new seasonal event is expected until
October, the weekly reset still brings staple challenges and rotations:
·
Weekly
Challenges → Earn Pinnacle rewards across Crucible, Gambit, Vanguard
Ops, and seasonal activities.
·
The Desert
Perpetual Reset → Raid encounters refresh for new completions and loot
opportunities.
·
Dreaming
City: Shattered Ruins Ascendant Challenge → Grab your Tincture of
Queensfoil and complete the weekly Dreaming City challenge.
· New Kepler Mythic Mission → Continue progressing through the latest high-difficulty PvE content.
Although September 23’s weekly reset won’t
launch a new Destiny 2 event, it still introduces some of the biggest farming changes we’ve seen in years.
With The Desert Perpetual loot buff
and unlimited Exotic farming in Legacy
Raids and Dungeons, Guardians have every reason to log in and grind
their favorite activities.
Until October’s event goes live, farming for loot and building up power will be the main focus.
