Destiny 2 Legacy Raids and Dungeons: Farm Exotics Endlessly Starting September 23

Chasing Exotic weapons in Destiny 2 has always been a grind. Players often had to run Raids and Dungeons across all three characters, then wait for the weekly reset before attempting again. Fortunately, Bungie is about to make this process much easier.

Starting with the weekly reset on September 23, 2025, Guardians will be able to farm Exotic weapons from Legacy Raids and Dungeons endlessly until the weapon finally drops.

What Does This Change Mean?

This new system only applies to Legacy endgame content. The most recent Raid and Dungeon will still have the traditional weekly lockout. Once new activities are introduced in future seasons, the current ones will move to the Legacy pool, unlocking the infinite farm system.

This means that Destiny 2 players will no longer be forced to wait weeks or months for a single Exotic weapon—they can simply grind until luck is on their side.

Exotics That Can Now Be Farmed Endlessly

Here are some of the most notable Legacy Raids and Dungeons, along with their Exotic weapon rewards:

  • Vault of Glass – Vex Mythoclast
  • Salvation's Edge – Euphony
  • Last Wish – One Thousand Voices
  • Warlord's Ruin – Buried Bloodline
  • Spire of the Watcher – Hierarchy of Needs
  • Duality – Heartshadow
  • King’s Fall – Touch of Malice
  • Root of Nightmares – Conditional Finality
  • Vow of the Disciple – Collective Obligation

At the time of writing, The Desert Perpetual (Dungeon) and The Sundered Doctrine (Raid) are still considered current content and won’t be part of the infinite farm system. However, once a new Raid and Dungeon release, they will move to the Legacy pool and become endlessly farmable.

Why This Is a Big Deal for Players

This update drastically changes how players approach farming Exotics. Instead of waiting months for RNG to work in their favor, Guardians can now dedicate as much time as they want into securing their favorite weapons.

With this new system, completing your Exotic collection in Destiny 2 just became more achievable than ever before.
