How to Complete The Takeover Challenges in Dead Rails
There are four challenges in Dead Rails, each increasing in difficulty. You must complete them in order, unlocking the harder missions only after clearing the earlier ones.
Here’s the full breakdown:
- Noob Challenge
- Task: Survive one night
- Reward: Noob Badge
- Pro Challenge
- Task: Travel 10 kilometers
- Reward: Pro Badge
- Master Challenge
- Task: Defeat 15 zombies using a Shovel
- Reward: Master Badge
- Extreme Challenge
- Task: Finish the entire game
- Reward: Extreme Badge
Tips to Beat Dead Rails Challenges
While the first three missions are relatively straightforward, the Extreme challenge requires you to finish the entire game — something that can take hours. For new players, this can feel overwhelming, but it’s possible to complete all four missions in a single run with the right strategy.
- Play with friends: Teamwork makes survival easier, and coordinated efforts against zombies save time.
- Conserve resources: Don’t waste tools or weapons early on, as you’ll need them in later stages.
- Stay focused: Runs can last multiple hours, so avoid distractions to prevent starting over.
By approaching carefully and working with your crew, you can clear every mission and claim your rewards in one go.
