Evocariums in Borderlands 4 are mini-puzzles that reward players with valuable SDUs (Storage Deck Upgrades). Each Evocarium requires you to track down glowing Orbs scattered across the area—sometimes perched on rooftops, tucked into corners, or hidden inside structures.
The Waterstep Evocarium is one of the easier puzzles in the game, but the area’s layout can still confuse first-timers. Luckily, this guide will walk you through all three Orb locations so you can complete the Waterstep Evocarium in under a minute.

First Orb Location – Rooftop on the Right
After activating the Evocarium, the Orbs scatter immediately. The first Orb can be found perched on a building just to your right. Simply climb up by jumping onto ledges and platforms—it’s not a difficult climb, and you’ll grab the Orb quickly.

Second Orb Location – Opposite Rooftop
From the top of the first building, look directly across to spot the second Orb sitting on another rooftop. You have two options to reach it:
- Glide across from your current position and climb up.
- Jump down, walk over, and then scale the building.
Either method works, so choose whichever feels quicker for you.
Third Orb Location – Hidden Passage with Pipes
The last Orb is a bit trickier. After collecting the second Orb, search for a shaft-like opening with pipes nearby. Jump down into the narrow passage, and you’ll find the Orb tucked inside. If you miss your landing, don’t worry—there’s a ladder that lets you climb back up and try again.
Waterstep Evocarium Rewards
Once all three Orbs are collected, the Waterstep Evocarium is complete, and you’ll earn 15 SDUs. While it might not seem like a huge reward, every SDU adds up—helping you upgrade your inventory, ammo, and overall Vault Hunter efficiency for tougher battles against the Timekeeper’s forces.
Why Complete Evocariums in Borderlands 4?
Evocariums are more than just puzzles—they’re one of the best ways to gradually expand your Vault Hunter’s capacity. Completing them consistently ensures you’re well-prepared for late-game challenges, especially when facing tougher enemies and bosses.
