
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy on a dangerous mission in Pakistan. The movie earned more than ₹1300 crore worldwide.
Since its release, Dhurandhar has been breaking many records. After doing very well in theatres, it was released on Netflix on January 30. Within just one week, it became the most-watched Hindi movie in its first weekend after theatre release. It beat popular films like Animal, Fighter, and Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Dhurandhar Beats Big Movies on Netflix
In its first three days on Netflix, Dhurandhar got 7.6 million views. This is the highest number ever for any Indian movie released online after theatres.
It crossed the records of:
- Animal – 6.2 million views
- Fighter – 5.9 million views
- Pushpa 2: The Rule – 5.0 million views
According to Netflix data (Tudum), the movie ranked number one in the non-English Top 10 list in seven countries. It was watched for 26.1 million hours in total.
In Pakistan, where the movie was not released in theatres, it is still trending at number one on Netflix.

About Dhurandhar
Dhurandhar is a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. Ranveer Singh plays an Indian spy who enters criminal gangs in Pakistan’s Lyari area to stop a terrorist group planning attacks on India.
The movie also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan in important roles. Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi appear in supporting roles.
It became the first Bollywood movie to earn over ₹1000 crore in India and more than ₹1300 crore worldwide.
Fans Waiting for the Sequel
Fans are now excited for the sequel called Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Ranveer Singh will return, along with Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan.
The sequel is planned to release in theatres on March 19, 2026. It will compete with Yash’s movie Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.
