Starting the Sleight of Hand Quest

Ride to the southern dock by horseback, where you’ll find the ronin fishing. A short cutscene sets things in motion, officially beginning the Sleight of Hand mission in Ghost of Yotei.

Fighting Alongside the Ronin

The quest quickly escalates into an intense running skirmish.

1.      Battle by the house near the dock – Clear the enemies gathered outside.

2.      Enter the house –

o    On the first floor, you’ll fight two enemies near the entrance.

o    Push deeper inside to deal with four more foes. Be prepared for reinforcements rushing in before the area is fully secured.

3.      Climb to the second floor – Take down additional enemies before jumping out of the window with the ronin.

4.      Chase uphill – At the top, a sharpshooter blocks your path. Defeat him to finish this combat sequence.

Tip: Enemies drop useful loot such as gunpowder and coins, so make sure you collect them before moving on.

The Standoff with the Ronin

After the last enemy falls, a cutscene triggers. The ronin suddenly turns on you, pointing his rifle in suspicion. He doubts your intentions and offers two dialogue choices:

Once the cutscene ends, the Sleight of Hand quest concludes. However, this also unlocks a brand-new feature: Zeni Hajiki, a gambling minigame.

After waking up inside the Gambling Den, head toward the entrance. The ronin will be waiting on the right. Speak with him to begin your first round of Zeni Hajiki. This minigame can be revisited later for additional rewards and fun.
