Spoiler Alert: This article discusses major plot points from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
The latest chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex have dropped some serious bombs — not just about Konoha’s uncertain future, but also about who might live or die in the coming battles. With Jura and the God Trees still roaming free, nobody close to Boruto is truly safe — not Naruto, Himawari, or even Sarada.
Even though Kashin Koji’s Prescience has been guiding Boruto through these threats, even he admits that not every outcome can be controlled. And now, the manga seems to be teasing a massive turning point — one where Eida might be the next big sacrifice, possibly giving the Shinju a terrifying new power-up.
Mamushi Is Coming for Eida
It’s looking more and more like Mamushi is heading straight for Konoha, and his target is clear: Eida.
The problem? Eida’s not a fighter. She’s got one of the strongest shinjutsu in the series — Omnipotence — a power so overwhelming it literally reshaped the world’s reality. But she can’t just turn it on whenever she wants. The ability works subconsciously, continuously influencing everyone tied to her.
That includes Boruto, Kawaki, Sarada, Sumire… and yes, the Shinju Mamushi — who’s after her unique genetic information.
From the very start, Eida has feared Mamushi. She knows that if he ever reaches her, escape would be nearly impossible. It’s why she avoids using Senrigan to peek at the Shinju — she knows Mamushi’s watching.
And unlike her little brother Daemon, who’s a powerhouse in battle, Eida can’t defend herself in a direct fight. If Mamushi makes it to Konoha, she might have no way out. The saddest part? Eida seems to know it — her recent dialogues almost sound like someone preparing for the inevitable.
Mamushi’s Power-Up Could Change the Game
While Jura and the other God Trees already proved how deadly they can be, none of them have actually devoured a target yet. That’s where things get interesting — or terrifying.
If Mamushi manages to consume Eida, he could unlock a completely new level of power — maybe even the ability to use Omnipotence at will. That’s not just bad news for Boruto — it could rewrite the entire balance of power in the world.
Even Kashin Koji knows how dangerous Mamushi is. As he puts it,
“In order to take only Mamushi, disposing of him in Konoha village is ideal.”
But stopping Mamushi won’t be easy. His replication ability makes him nearly unbeatable, and Eida’s defensive options are limited. Even with Daemon, Sarada, Sumire, and Boruto’s allies stepping in, their combined might might not be enough to stop a fully evolved Shinju.
Could Eida’s Death Reverse Omnipotence?
Here’s the wildest theory yet — Eida’s death could actually undo Omnipotence.
Boruto’s never made reversing Omnipotence a priority. He’s focused on fixing his broken family and saving Kawaki from himself. But if Eida dies in Mamushi’s attack, it’s possible that her death could break the spell of Omnipotence — resetting the roles and memories of Boruto and Kawaki back to normal.
That would mean the world finally remembering who Boruto truly is.
It’s a heartbreaking possibility — but also a chance for the story to reset in a powerful way.
