Actor Divya Khossla has made bold remarks about beauty standards in the entertainment industry, taking a direct dig at celebrities like Kylie Jenner and several Bollywood stars for relying on botox and cosmetic surgeries instead of embracing natural beauty.
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Divya opened up about how the obsession with cosmetic enhancements is creating a cookie-cutter look among celebrities.
“All Faces Look the Same” – Divya on Botox Trend
Speaking about the growing reliance on cosmetic treatments, Divya remarked:
“These days, all faces look pretty much the same. People who go to doctors in Mumbai look a certain way and those who go to doctors in Dubai look a certain way. Basis one’s face, you can figure which doctor they went to.”
The actor further revealed that she has often been told her “round face” doesn’t fit the beauty standards of the industry. However, she proudly accepts it, saying she is “not obsessed with make-up or the mirror” and prefers to stay away from fillers and botox.
Divya Khossla on Kylie Jenner and Aging Naturally
Divya did not hold back when mentioning Kylie Jenner, who admitted to getting lip fillers back in 2015. According to Divya, starting cosmetic enhancements at such a young age makes one appear older than they are:
“We’ve seen Kylie Jenner. She’s so young but she has started looking too matured for her age. We should allow ourselves to age naturally. Sometimes, we end up looking better than we did a few years back.”
By advocating for real beauty and natural aging, Divya positioned herself against the trend of artificial perfection dominating both Hollywood and Bollywood.
Divya’s Latest Film – Ek Chatur Naar
On the professional front, Divya was recently seen in Ek Chatur Naar, a thriller comedy co-starring Neil Nitin Mukesh. Released last Friday, the film tells the story of Mamta Mishra (played by Divya), a clever woman trying to support her family. When she steals the mobile phone of businessman Abhishek Verma (Neil), she discovers intimate videos and sensitive data, which she uses to extort him.
Directed by Umesh Shukla, the film also features Sushant Singh, Rajniesh Duggal, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Chhaya Kadam, Heli Daruwala, Rose Sardana, and Geeta Agarwal Sharma.
Interestingly, Divya also accused box office tracking portals of publishing inaccurate numbers for her film, pointing out discrepancies in Sacnilk’s reports.
