How to Start The Takeover Challenges in Dig
Beginning the event is simple. Just talk to the Trick NPC, who has the event’s logo floating above his head. He’ll give you access to the featured challenges.
If you’re coming from Tagtown, head to the Strat University district via its portal. Once inside, you’ll find another portal that takes you directly to Dig. After entering, you’ll see the missions displayed, and you can start by hitting the blue play button.
The Takeover Challenges in Dig
Dig features three special missions as part of The Takeover: Noob, Pro, and Master. Each has its own unique task and reward. Here’s the full breakdown:
- Noob Challenge
- Objective: Buy the Toy Hammer Shovel and excavate items.
- Reward: Act I Badge + 2 Solo Cred.
- Pro Challenge
- Objective: Win five Whack-a-Mole games and use the shovel to dig up items.
- Reward: Act II Badge + 6 Solo Cred.
- Master Challenge
- Objective: Complete the Mole Burrower’s Dungeon.
- Reward: Act III Badge + 14 Solo Cred.
Tips to Complete the Dig Challenges
- Getting the Toy Hammer Shovel: You’ll find it next to the entrance of the Shovel Shop for 500 Cash. It’s affordable for both new players and veterans. Once purchased, you can use it to dig up items to complete the Noob challenge.
- Whack-a-Mole Minigame: The machine is also located inside the Shovel Shop, right next to where you bought the Toy Hammer Shovel. After clearing the Noob challenge, interact with the machine to start playing. Win five games to progress through the Pro mission.
- Mole Burrower’s Dungeon: This special dungeon sits at the far end of the starter town. Step into one of the glowing beacons to teleport inside. You can attempt it solo or form a team of up to four players. Clear it to finish the Master mission and secure the highest-tier rewards.

Completing these missions not only gives you three exclusive badges but also rewards you with a total of 22 Solo Cred. These event-exclusive rewards contribute to your progress in The Takeover and help your Crew claim parts of Tagtown.
