Everest Mountains


Everest Mountain is the highest mountain peak in the world. The height of this mountain is 8,848 meters. Earlier it was known as XV. At that time Mount Everest had a height of 29,002 feet or 8,840 meters. It is said in the scientific survey that its height is increasing by 2 centimeters per year. In Nepal, it is known by the locals as Sagarmatha (it means - the top of heaven). But in Tibet, it is called "Chomolangma” (it means – queen of the mountains).

K2

K2 Mountain is located in the Karakoram mountain range on the border of Gilgit Baltistan in Pakistan administered Kashmir and Xinjiang, China. With a height of 8611 meters (28,251 ft), this peak is the second highest mountain peak in the world after Mount Everest. K2 is considered to be the most difficult and dangerous compared to Mount Everest. So far 246 people have climbed K2 while 2238 people have climbed Mount Evert.

Kangchenjunga

Kangchenjunga is located on the border of Nepal in the northwest part of Sikkim. It is the third highest peak in the world. Its height is 8,586 meters. It is located 74 km northwest of Darjeeling. The name Kanchenjunga derives from four words of Tibetan origin, which are usually spelled Kang-chhen-daj-nga. In Sikkim it is considered to be the five funds of the giant snow. This mountain in Nepal is called Kumbhakaran Langur.

Lhotse

Lhotse is the fourth highest peak in the world after Everest 2 and Kanchenjunga which is connected with Everest to the south valley. The height of this peak is 8516 m (27940 ft).

Makalu

Makalu Everest is the fifth highest peak in the world. It is located 19 kilometers southeast of Everest. It is different peaks that look similar to the four faced pyramids. The height of this peak is 8481 m (27,825 ft).

Cho Oyu (Choyu)

Cho Oyu (Choyu), 8,201 m (26,906 ft) above sea level is the sixth highest mountain in the world. In Tibetan Cho Oyu means "emerald goddess". The mountain is located 20 km west of the Khumbu sub-stream from the Mahalangur Himalayas of Mount Everest on the Tibet-Nepal border.

Dhaulagiri

Dhaulagiri Situated near the origin of the Kali River in northwestern Nepal, the height of this peak is 26,826 feet. There are many glimpses in this section. It is one of the four major peaks of the Himalayas and was once considered the highest peak in the world. In Nepali Dhaulagiri Mountain means “white beautiful mountain”. It is the seventh tallest in the world.

Manaslu

Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 m (26,781 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Nepalese Himalayas in the west central part of Nepal. Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word manasa which means "intellect or spirit" Manaslu means "soul of the mountain".

Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat height is 8, 125 meters or 26, 658 feet. It is also called the "killer mountain" of the world because many people who climbed it have been known. Nanga Parbat comes under the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan controlled by Pakistan, which India also considers its share. It is the ninth highest mountain in the world.

Annapurna

Annapurna Mountain, located in north central Nepal, is the tenth largest mountain in the world. Climbing it is equivalent to climbing the world's most dangerous peaks. It is 26,545 ft (8091 m) height.
