Mountain is the highest mountain peak in the world. The height of this mountain
is 8,848 meters. Earlier it was known as XV. At that time Mount Everest had a
height of 29,002 feet or 8,840 meters. It is said in the scientific survey that
its height is increasing by 2 centimeters per year. In Nepal, it is known by
the locals as Sagarmatha (it means - the top of heaven). But in Tibet, it is
called "Chomolangma” (it means – queen of the mountains).
K2
K2 Mountain is
located in the Karakoram mountain range on the border of Gilgit Baltistan in
Pakistan administered Kashmir and Xinjiang, China. With a height of 8611 meters
(28,251 ft), this peak is the second highest mountain peak in the world after
Mount Everest. K2 is considered to be the most difficult and dangerous compared
to Mount Everest. So far 246 people have climbed K2 while 2238 people have
climbed Mount Evert.
Kangchenjunga

third highest peak in the world. Its height is 8,586 meters. It is located 74
km northwest of Darjeeling. The name Kanchenjunga derives from four words of
Tibetan origin, which are usually spelled Kang-chhen-daj-nga. In Sikkim it is
considered to be the five funds of the giant snow. This mountain in Nepal is
called Kumbhakaran Langur.

have been known. Nanga Parbat comes under the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan
